It's been a solemn last day or so here in the state of Wisconsin, and that is because Brett Favre has retired. Favre was quarterback for basically all of my life. He never once did not play starting quarterback position for each sunday that the National Football League conducted games. He will be sorely missed by me and by many across the nation, not only Wisconsinites. Favre's carreer was a great one, highlighted by countless records and award, including 3 MVP awards and a super bowl ring. Even most recently Favre was named athlete of the year, by Sports Illustrated, for his leading of a young packers team to a successful season and one of the best seasons for Brett for a few years. His legend will now live on, and become part of the great lambeau mystique. Congratulations to Brett on his success, and here's looking forward to what is to come for Green Bay.
