Yeah, scratch that and replace it with LAS VEGAS! We're all so incredibly excited. We're aiming for the dates of July 27th to July 31st.

I know what you're thinking.. "But Matt... Thats only four days!".. Yes, yes, i'm aware. But due to time and financial constraints, four days is all we can afford. But we found a really amazing condo that we all think is awesome. Check out these pics of it:

Amazing right? And its a great deal. We're all praying its available for those dates. Trish called and left a message and also emailed them... So hopefully we'll find out soon.

Have you been to Vegas? Do you have any suggestions for us to check out while we're there? Hit me with them! We're definitely open to suggestions and we want to see as many things in Vegas as we can. So let me know! I'll update soon.

PayPerPost

Have you done any blog marketing lately?

I recently found a site via my friend Trish called PayPerPost. PayPerPost pays bloggers for writing sponsored content for their advertisers. The categories range from nearly everything you could think of, including things such as vacations, education, cars, food, resorts, cruises, computer and internet related topics and much, much more. I know a lot, if not nearly all, bloggers write about these things on a daily basis. However, we never got paid for them. Well, now you can. And the payouts are much more than just pocket change like many other websites.

But don't get me wrong, I know how nerve-wrecking it can be to sign up for sites like this in fear of the many scams out there, but i can assure you this site is no scam! Trish herself has personally been paid from it and i also recently learned that a few of my other fellow blogger friends are also a part of PayPerPost. I can't believe i didn't know about this site sooner! There are so many bills, birthdays, holidays (etc) that i didn't have to suffer through. Earning money on PayPerPost doing what i already do, blogging, couldn't be easier.

I've wanted a new computer for a very long time, and with the money i could earn from PayPerPost i could have it in no time! I couldn't be more excited to be a part of this website.

If (or should i say when?) you sign up for PayPerPost let me know. I'd love to have more blogger friends who are a part of a great website along with me.

Girls.

Ugh... girls. So confusing! The past few days have been crazy and wouldnt you know it.. Its all due to two women. One whom is a friend, the other who i have romantic feelings for.. who seems to not see me that way. Hah. It sucks.

Its weird for me to try and date, as i've always been in long relationships, and never really "dated" much. Its always been serious, year long relationships. So now, just having got out of a two year relationship, and WANTING to find the right girl by actually looking instead of jumping into the first thing i find.. Is different. Its good for me, but i'm not used to it. And i'm definitely not good with the pick up lines.

Its 2am and i JUST woke up and i'm super tired.. So i'll probably post a more coherent blog later.

Vesti

Awesomeness on the interwebs.

Okay so.. I had been thinking about the idea for awhile, so after looking at a few that I liked I headed out this Monday evening to pick one up. Unfortunately the Phillips webcam I had been looking for was nowhere to be found. So after a lot of searching at various stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal Mart, Target, Office Max, and Comp USA, I gave up looking for the one I wanted. I then returned to the first place I stopped, Best Buy, and picked up the Logitech Pro 9000, for $100.00. The webcam itself is very nice quality and should serve any purposes i have for it well. Although, I believe that I will likely be using it mostly for its microphone, for talking on skype. The audio and ease of use is leagues beyond have to hold my old microphone up to my face all night.

Anticipating Colorado

Colorado is something that I so close.. But yet, seemingly so far away. As of today it is almost exactly 4 months until I travel to Denver with Trish and Jesse. I’m unbelievably excited for this trip, yet apprehensive as to if we can all get things done that we need to. We all have money issues that need to be taken care of, both getting more of it and taking care of paying for other things before the trip. As well, Jesse is waiting for job approval, and I am waiting for family approval to take this vacation. I pray that all of these things will work out for all of us, and that we can all go and enjoy ourselves and have a fantastical time. It's a slider type phone, and overall it's pretty nice, it can hold mp3's and takes photos with a 2.0 megapixel camera. However, the unfortunate thing is that this purchase caused for a $150.00 loss from my Colorado fund. As to what happened to my old phone.. well. I had a little too much to drink Sunday night, and ended up dropping my phone in the toilet. Needless to say it was destroyed. However, thankfully, all of my contacts were miraculously salvaged, and I kept my old number as well.

Late Nights

As of lately, I’ve been staying up quite late into the night, or well, morning. I cannot remember the last time that I went to bed at a “normal person” time. Generally bed time for me lies around 2:00 AM at the earliest to around 5ish. I don’t know why the night is so much more fun and entertaining than the day time for me, but that’s just the way it has been nowadays. Also, it’s seemingly getting easier to stay up later and later as time goes by. The same is to be said for my best friend, whom I spend all of these late nights with. We often comment that we don’t understand how normal people could be in bed at this hour. It’s hard to define exactly what we do during this time.. because it generally flies by so fast anyway, it seems like you didn’t do anything. The general night however, will consist of us talking on Skype, and either bouncing around to different broadcasts on Justin.tv or calling random people in Australia on skype. Honestly, during the day I look forward to the 10:00 or 11:00 o’clock hours when everyone heads off to sleep, and I can start my night with Trish. Always, always, good times.

Understanding Computer Processes: By Matt

The Copy and Paste. Always a confusing operation for newcomers is the copy and paste command, however, through these simple steps you can learn to copy and paste anything on your computer. First step, requires that you type in large bolded font in Microsoft word, the text “COPY”. After that select print and print out text file. Now take that paper, crumple it up, and throw it angrily at your computer screen. Once that has been accomplished take a large tub of industrial strength paste, and slather It on your monitor. Wait for it to dry, do not lick the paste. Congratulations, you have successfully copied and pasted! Favre was quarterback for basically all of my life. He never once did not play starting quarterback position for each sunday that the National Football League conducted games. He will be sorely missed by me and by many across the nation, not only Wisconsinites. Favre's carreer was a great one, highlighted by countless records and award, including 3 MVP awards and a super bowl ring. Even most recently Favre was named athlete of the year, by Sports Illustrated, for his leading of a young packers team to a successful season and one of the best seasons for Brett for a few years. His legend will now live on, and become part of the great lambeau mystique. Congratulations to Brett on his success, and here's looking forward to what is to come for Green Bay.

OMG COLORADO!!

Trish and I have decided we're going to do quite a few random things in Colorado. Not only is it impossible to open, but you cut up your hands and kill yourself in the process. Not too long ago.. I was in the process of trying to get a microphone to use for skype. So I went to buy a bluetooth adapter for my PC so that I could use my bluetooth headset for speaking. However, in my futile attempts at trying to cut open the packaging, I also cut through the install cd. Couldn't return it, and I had just driven through a hellish snowstorm to get it. I will be going with my buddy Jesse and the super spectacular Trish. Trish also set up this page for me by the way. (clap, clap, clap). When there we will be staying in Denver, and we will rave in the limo, and in the hotel, and on the streets, and just about everywhere. Yet, I have seen no definitive evidence as to either side being correct. The situation in question is this: A jet airplane Is traveling on a runway, the runway however is a treadmill, which speed is constantly the exact opposite of that of the plane traveling on it. Thus the plane would remain stationary. The question is, when the plane got to speed normally need for lift, would the plane be able to take off, if the runway beneath it was traveling the exact same speed in the opposite direction? This question.. Plagues my mind. Somebody help.

Skype??

Does anyone use Skype? If you use skype leave a comment and give me your name and i'll add you. :)

Angel

A beautiful angel
Walks through your home.
Her presence is glorious
Like a goddess of Rome.

She walks up the stairs
And up into your room.
Her sight brings you joy
Yet a feeling of doom.

She stands in your door
And looks into your eyes.
You knew this was coming
You’ve said your goodbyes.

She lies next to you
As you draw your last breath.
This beautiful angel
Is the angel of death.

Sports On JTV

For those that don’t know, justin.tv is a growing website that features people who have personal webcasts. It offers a unique social experience, which I would recommend to anyone who has not checked it out already. However it is not without it’s problems. The most prevalent of these problems that I see with it, is the broadcasting of different sports events. Not only does this overflow the website with excessive viewers, but it takes away from what the website is really about, the people who broadcast. Therefore, It is my belief that any sports broadcasts should be removed from the website and be considered a bannable offense.

Justin.tv

If you broadcast on Justin.tv, leave your link as a comment and i'll check you out. I did have fun with it at one point, but having a laptop, an ipod, and a cell phone all kind of makes the thing useless to me. Simply one who never says, does or thinks anything that is unusual. Schools are maintained in order to bring this uniformity up to the highest possible point. A school is a hopper into which children are heaved while they are still young and tender; therein they are pressed into certain standard shapes and covered from head to heels with official rubber-stamps.” ~H.L. Mencken

This quote by Mencken means a lot to me, because it truly defines what is wrong with American culture. Schools are brought up and maintained to be things not only where children are taught elementary things such as mathematics and English, but are shown to conform into a single uniformity.
